Border Wall
Mr. President pledged to build a border wall
In rallies, for the sake of security for all.
Congress Dems said ’no’ to the grand plan.
In no time did Mr. President come back with a response —
Declared the Government shutdown.
Why is Mr. President so obstinate, in the first place?
Why is he determined to get the Wall built at a good pace?
That’s pretty simple – he needs to keep his word,
And he desperately needs constituents’ support —
There’s a good chance he’ll re-run for the highest post.
It’s not easy to negotiate and seal a deal
When Dems have the House majority on Capitol Hill.
Mr. President keeps on saying: «Material is no big deal.
To keep costs down, it’s OK to make the barrier of steel.
Forget brick or concrete! How does that feel?»
«Anyway, I intend to proceed with the things my way.
I will never give up or surrender, no way,
Even if I have to step down at the end of the day.» —
That’s what Mr. President means to say.
He will sleep rather well all through the night,
Bad dreams won’t keep him awake and out of order,
Everything will be just perfect and all right
When the Border Wall is in place and silhouettes
Along the whole stretch of the Mexican border…
Mr. President is fully aware in the long run,
Once his immunity is absolutely gone
Or is forcefully snatched away,
Over time he’ll find himself in prison —
Sooner or later he’ll be locked away.
As long as it may take or be permitted,
Mr. President will artfully play his game
And will aggressively defend his scheme —
He will fiercely fight to the end,
And to the last drop of his blood.
What’s an alternative option?
Stand a public trial in the court?!
Are you nuts? It’s out of question
For the decent and well-respected President…

но не мне?
Ну, отчего кому-то катит фарт и пруха прет,
меня ж при этом
скромно оставляют в стороне?
Я тоже, как никто, достоин!
Я тоже непременно выиграть должен!
Себе любимому я напророчу
успех, удачу в лотерею!
И это будет,
прошу заметить,
не жалкая подачка в сто рублей.
Купюры там будут Г-О-Р-А-З-Д-О покрупней!
Общий счет пойдет
на сотни тыщ и даже миллионов!
Да будет так!
Не сметь вставать дороги поперек!
ПОТОМУ КАК МЕЧТАЮ Я ОБ ЭТОМ,
КАК НИКТО!
ПОТОМУ КАК КРУПНЫЙ ВЫИГРЫШ В «СПОРТЛОТО»,
ЗАСЛУЖИВАЮ Я,
